This board is a complete redesign of the opto PCB used on the 5 bank drop target assembly of the Judge Dredd pinball machine.

The drop targets on the Judge Dredd machine are very tricky to keep working properly and tend to get dirty and sticky over time. This may lead to some drop targets not completely dropping down as they should. With the original board, this may cause the game to not register the target until it completely drops. Since the drop targets are crucial to the game play, a sticky switch can cause major frustration!

With the redesigned board, the switch locations have been moved to trigger nearly 1/4 of an inch sooner than the original board! This means that should a drop target fail to completely drop, it should still trigger the switch and register during game play!

While we highly recommend all drop targets be properly cleaned and maintained at all times, this board may help increase the play time between maintenance, or provide extra insurance during tournament play.

Using some of the same technology as with our other products, this board offers improved optical power along with reduced current consumption and heat generation.

Lower current usage and heat generation Larger traces and pads for better reliability and longevity. Stiffer board reduces vibration. Visual status LEDs have been added for each switch position, as well as for the IR chain.
